A man learns how long he’ll spend in prison for robbing a convenience store.
A Winnebago County judge sentenced Percy Baker, 54, to 22 years for robbing a Walgreens at 1602 Kishwaukee St. back in November 2015. Surveillance video and witnesses identified him as the gunman who walked into the store, pointed a gun at a cashier, took money out of the register, and stole merchandise.
Police found Baker nearby. He was armed with a black, plastic BB gun. A jury convicted Baker in September for aggravated robbery.
