News

A man convicted in a Rockford drunk driving crash gets the maximum punishment for his crime.

A judge sentenced Antwan Maxey to 22 years in prison for 10 counts of aggravated DUI causing great bodily harm.  In June 2015, Maxey was driving east on Auburn St., hit a retaining wall, went across four lanes of traffic, and hit a utility pole.

Maxey was unconscious and bleeding from the head.  His BAC was .13, that’s well above the legal limit of .08.  Maxey’s two passengers also had several injuries, including spinal fractures.
