LE MARS, Iowa. - An Iowa woman has been found guilty of the murder of her infant son, who was found dead and maggot-infested in a baby swing last year.
21-year-old Cheyanne Harris was convicted of murder and child endangerment leading to death, the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports.
4-month-old Sterling Koehn had been in the same diaper for nine to 14 days when his body was found in the swing Aug. 30, 2017, at his parents' Alta Vista apartment.
An autopsy revealed that Koehn died of malnutrition, dehydration, and an E. coli infection.
The boy's father, Zachary Koehn, was found guilty of the same charges in November and was sentenced to life in prison.
