Monday on ‘Eyewitness News Local at 10:00’ on WTVO-17, we’re going to take an in-depth look at a difficult topic — that every family with children should know about. The topic of sex addiction.
We first started looking into it when celebrity Josh Duggar of the TV show “Nineteen Kids and Counting” checked into a Rockford facility for sex addiction treatment.
Some wondered if that’s even a real addiction. It turns out it is, and the reason parents need to know about it is because it starts at a young age.
Dr. Robert Meyer, Chief Clinical Psychologist for Mathers Clinic tells us, “I actually believe there are people that get addicted, it begins in early, late adolescence or early adulthood, it’s fundamentally men.”
But there are also signs that a young person needs help for a sex addiction. Learn those warning signs as Lauren Langer looks at the secrets of ‘Sex Addiction’ Monday at 10pm on WTVO ‘Eyewitness News.’
