The blaze broke out Friday morning in the garage of a home at 1470 Fenceline Drive, quickly engulfing the home in flames and spreading to a neighbor’s home.

Mutual aid was called to help put out the fire, which rose to 4-alarms before being contained.  Many of those units have since been released.

The initial call came in just before 11am for a fire at a home at 1470 Fenceline Drive in a neighborhood just west of the Rock River and south of Latham Road. Several other fire departments were then called in to assist.

Witnesses report seeing heavy smoke in the area.
