(WFLA) – A 20-year-old woman and three children were found dead near the Rio Grande River in South Texas on Sunday, NBC News reports, citing local law enforcement.

Border Patrol agents discovered the bodies southeast of Anzalduas Park in the Las Paloma Wildlife Management Area, just north of Reynosa, Mexico, and south of McAllen, Texas, according to Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra. Two of the children were infants. The other was a toddler, Guerra said.

The deaths come as more migrants are coming across the Southwest border, often on foot.

Guerra said the FBI is expected to lead the investigation.
