32-year-old Casei Jones was found dead in the back of the van her husband was driving through Brantley County.

Sheriff Billy Woods/Marion County: “As a father, as a parent, it breaks my heart. As a sheriff it angers me to no end,” said Sheriff of Marion County, Billy Woods. “Something to this degree, how a human being can even do this.”
38-year-old Michael Jones crashed that van alongside 301 in Brantley County last night, and a man who lives nearby responded to the noise of the crash and spoke to Jones.
“We were picking berries and working and we heard a boom on the highway and we saw the van down there and I ran down and asked him if he was okay and I smelled that smell,” said Levi Strickland who called police. “It smelled horrible, I’ve never smelled anything like that in my life.”
“Did you have any idea what was inside?” the reporter asked.
“I thought he might’ve used the bathroom on himself to be honest the owner that just pulled up he told me it smells like a dead body hes smelled one before,” Strickland said. “His eyes were big and was trying to get us away from the vehicle pretty quickly he was acting kind of weird.”
The Brantley County Sheriff’s Office said Jones told a deputy, you may want to put me in handcuffs because there is a dead body inside the vehicle.
Jones is now in jail and charged with second degree homicide in her death.
Jones admitted to police he had just hid other bodies in nearby Charlton County, before getting in that accident.
Those bodies were the four missing children ages 10, 5, 2 and one.
“As far as I am concerned, as the sheriff of this county, underneath the jail ain’t good enough,” Sheriff Woods said. “He has no right to walk the face of this earth. I’d hate to be him as he is standing before the Lord.”
The five were last seen six weeks ago, Case Jones family just reported her missing on Saturday.
As far as the cause of death or the motive behind this remains unkown.
