ILLINOIS (WTVO) — In the last four days three Illinois State Police squad cars were hit due to the result of drivers not moving over.
According to authorities, the recent incidents marks 26 times a squad car was hit in 2019.
On November 3rd at 1:40 a.m. reports indicated that two Illinois State Police vehicles were parked on the shoulder with their emergency lights activated on a traffic stop.

During that time a vehicle had run off the road and struck both squad cars.
Both troopers were transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to authorities, the driver has been arrested for DUI.
