GAMBRILLS, Md. (WTVO) — A young trick or treater made his parents proud this Halloween.

According to WLS, Leslie and Kevin Hodges left a bowl of candy outside their house for trick-or-treaters, but at some point in the night, the bowl became empty.

Leslie posted video from the family’s doorbell camera to Facebook, showing a young boy walking up to the bowl. After realizing the bowl is empty, and seeing a young girl approaching the house, he reaches into his own bag of candy and puts them in the bowl.

“This has got to give hope to everyone that there are still amazing people in this world,” Leslie Hodges wrote on Facebook. “What a selfless act from this little guy!”

Leslie’s post has gone viral on Facebook with more than 5.5 million views, 224,000 shares and 13,000 comments.
