New Details Released in Sycamore Double Murder Case

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office has released new details in the double murder of an elderly woman and her son which was discovered on August 15th.

85-year-old Patricia Wilson and her son 64-year-old Robert Wilson were found beaten to death in their rural Sycamore home.  Their car was also stolen and later found parked near the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago.

The DeKalb Major Case squad has narrowed the window within which the murders occurred to between 7:45pm and midnight on August 14th.  Sheriff Roger Scott also says they have obtained video footage of the vehicle driving eastbound on IL Route 64 in West Chicago.

The agency is reviewing other video footage and responding to hundreds of tips with the help of the Illinois State Crime Lab and the FBI.
