Nicholas Conservatory to Get Light Exhibit

Rockford Park District sheds light on a whole new reason to love the Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens.

The conservatory will host the Bruce Munro Light Exhibit.  Munro is well-known in the gardening world.  The Park District has released some designs, which incorporate sculptures, color, and recycled pieces.  The Nicholas Conservatory sees the exhibit as a way to light up the entire community.

“It’ll draw people from all over to be able to come in regionally, spend money, stay overnight, since it’s a night exhibit,” said Facility Manager Kelly Moore.  “It really will impact us in many different ways.”

The exhibit will run from June 2017 through to the following November.  It’s being paid for by the Nicholas Conservatory Family Foundation.
