The Eclipse Lagoon at Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens has been chosen as one of the best places to skate this Christmas by an San Francisco-based travel publication.
Matador Network listed the dozen best places in the country to ice skate during the holidays, for those wishing they could participate in the ice skating along the lines of what they’ve seen broadcast from Rockefeller Center in New York.
The Eclipse Lagoon made the list because it “surrounded by the lush vegetation of the garden” and is “free to use for skating or, on the north part of the lagoon, ice hockey.”
The Siskiyou Ice Rink in Redding, California, Beaver Creek Mountain Resort in Beaver Creek, Colorado, and the Half Dome Village Ice Rink in Yosemite National Park were some of the other skating rinks featured in the article.
The Matador Network is focused on travel, outdoor adventure, food, nightlife, language learning, and culture, according to the company.
