One suspect was injured in a Sunday car-to-car shooting incident between gang members in Rockford; two suspects are still at large.
Rockford Police say that on Sunday, April 21st, around 3 p.m., several ShotSpotter alerts were received, at 1100 West State Street, 1000 Mulberry Street, and 200 Kilburn Avenue, as two cars were engaged in exchanging gunfire.
One of the occupants of one of the vehicles, 19-year-old Montrese Harris, suffered non-life threatening injury to his head.
Police arrested Harris and the juvenile female in his vehicle.
Warrants were issued for the two suspects in the other vehicle, 21-year-olld Elisha Ford and 21-year-old Christian Turner.
Harris is charged with Unlawful Use of Weapons by a Gang Member, no FOID, Obstructing Justice, and Revoked Driver’s License.
His female companion was charged with Unlawful Use of Weapons, no FOID, Obstructing Justice.
Ford was charged with Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of Weapons by a Gang Member, and no FOID card.
Turner was charged with Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of Weapons by a Gang Member, and no FOID card.
