One Killed After Being Ejected from Car in Serious Accident

A 45-year old man is dead after being ejected from the car during an accident

The incident happened around 2 a.m. on Saturday, on Kishwaukee Street and Brooke Road.  Police say the suspect vehicle sped southbound, blew a red light at the intersection, and hit another car that was  heading westbound on Brooke Road.  The suspect vehicle then caught fire.  The 45 year old was later pronounced dead at the scene. The second passenger, a 50-year year old woman was able to get herself outt of the vehicle.  Meanwhile, officers had to pull out a 46-year old man from the burning car.  

Both were taken the the hospital.  The 46-year old is in critical condition, the woman is expected to be ok.

The two-passengers in the victim car were not hurt. The identities of those involved have not yet been released.
