A Rockford hospital proves it does more than take care of people who come through its doors, it takes care of those they’ll never even meet.
OSF employees donated 200 presents to the Foster Care Alliance’s Adopt-an-Angel program. Thursday was pick-up day.
Kids will receive what they put on their wish list, such as: skateboards, lightsabers, and bikes. Officials say it’s their honor to participate in the program every year.
“We’re here to serve,” said OSF Volunteer Services and Patient Experience Manager Christy Eldridge. “It puts a smile on somebody else’s face. We all wish that we could be there when the kids open up their presents. Instead, we just get to think about that and just trying to make the holidays a brighter place for other people.”
The Adopt-an-Angel program at OSF has been going strong for more than two decades.
