Pair Arrested After Robbery and Burglary

Two people are in custody following the armed robbery of a gas station and burglary from a supermarket.

Rockford Police say 30-year-old Jessica Hadder used a handgun to rob the Shell Gas Station in the 3200 block of S. Alpine on June 26th.

Then on July 2nd, Rockford Police Officers were dispatched to the Meijer supermarket on McFarland Road after a reported theft.  They located Hadder in a vehicle along with 30-year-old Anthony Fort along with hypodermic syringes and drug equipment inside their vehicle they say were stolen from the Meijer store.

A third man inside the car fled on foot and was not located.

Hadder and Fort face the following charges:

Jessica M. Hadder, 30 

  • Aggravated Robbery Warrant
  • Burglary
  • Possession of Hypodermic Syringes
  • Possession of Drug Equipment

Anthony L. Fort, 30

  • Burglary
  • Possession of Burglary Tools
  • Winnebago County Failure to Appear Warrant

Both are being held in the Winnebago County jail.

Police say their investigation is continuing and more arrests and charges are possible.
