A Rockford man has been arrested after police witnessed him dealing drugs on Oakley Avenue.
At approximately 3 p.m. Monday, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit was in the process of conducting a narcotics investigation in the 1000 block of Oakley Avenue when they witnessed Charles Gholson, 35, allegedly conducting a drug deal.
After a short foot chase, police were able to take Gholson into custody. He was found with heroin on his person. Gholson was on parole for intimidation of a witness and was wearing a monitoring ankle bracelet.
After searching the residence, more heroin and crack cocaine was found.
Gholson was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Delivery of Heroin, Resisting a Peace Officer, and a Parole Violation.
