A morning fire in Belvidere was put out after a motorist driving by reported it to 911.
The single car detached garage fire was reported shortly after 4 a.m. in the 700 block of John Street. When firefighters arrived, they found large flames coming from the back of the structure.
A water supply was quickly deployed and the fire was extinguished. The cause is under investigation.
The owner has been notified.
