News

It was a special day for heart patients at Swedish American Hospital as children ages 3-5 visited today.

The children came over from the Ryan Jury Child Development Center. They were able to visit with Santa and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.

The children performed a skit and sang songs for the patients.

Carol Mittel, the Director of the daycare said, “It’s a celebration of the holiday season and brings everyone, all of the families and our children together. It’s just a wonderful event for everybody.”

The Ryan Jury Learning Center at Swedes is named for 23-month-old Ryan Jury, who died of cancer in 1986. His family started a memorial fund which supports children’s services at the hospital.
