Pat’s Forest Hills Cafe to close, owner diagnosed with cancer

The owners of a popular Loves Park eatery have announced the restaurant will be closing following the owner’s cancer diagnosis.

The closing of Pat’s Forest Hills Cafe, located at 8202 Forest Hills Road, was announced on Facebook on Monday.

The posting said that general manager Pat “Mr. Pat” Mcrill has been diagnosed with an inoperable form of cancer, and the owners are closing the diner to concentrate on his care.

“We have enjoyed and loved each and everyone of you and certainly could not have been in business all these years without you…i will miss you all so if you could stop in and say good bye we would appreciate it and please…please. pray for healing for Mr Pat.” the post read.

Pat’s Forest Hills Cafe has been in business since 1984. It’s last day of business is scheduled for January 19th.
