A photo of a 6-year-old boy in Arizona is going viral after he invited 32 classmates to his birthday party and no one showed up.
Sil Mazzini shared a photo of her heartbroken son Teddy as he sat alone at a table on Sunday.
“His birthday was actually October 3rd, but because his dad works in Alaska and was able to come the 18th, I organized the whole party for the 21st,” Mazzini told Fox 10.
Mazzini said she made goodie bags for each child that contained an invitation, and even spoke with some parents the day before the party to confirm they would be going.
But, Teddy’s birthday may have a happy ending: the photo has attracted the attention of the Phoenix Suns, who offered him free tickets to the Suns vs Lakers game on Wednesday.
The Phoenix Rising FC also invited Teddy to Friday’s playoff game.
Teddy can get The Mala from @VeneziasPizza and join 7,000 of his closest friends this Friday. Come on out Teddy! #UpRising https://t.co/mNpcwfNOcy— (x)-Phoenix Rising FC (@PHXRisingFC) October 22, 2018
Mazzini says the family plans to cheer Teddy up by reading him the well-wishes from thousands of people across the country who have seen his story online.
