UPDATE: Rockford, Ill — Rockford Police say the 23-year-old pizza delivery driver robbed by teens Monday night, was also shot several times with a BB gun.
The 23-year-old victim was making a delivery when a group, one armed with what looked like a handgun but was a BB gun, walked up to him. The man told police the teen with the weapon demanded his belongings and pizzas.
There was a struggle and the victim was shot several times. He has minor injuries and refused to be taken to the hospital.
Police chased down the suspects and arrested two 14-year-olds and a 13-year-old. All three were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
Rockford, Ill. — On Monday, May 27th, 2019 at 10:33 pm Rockford Police Officers were dispatched to 400 Stanley Street to meet with a pizza delivery driver who was just robbed.
The victim said he was delivering a pizza when three to five males robbed him at gunpoint.
Officers found the suspects near Green Street and Stanley Street, but they ran off.
Three juvenile suspects were caught after a foot chase.
Police also found four BB guns nearby.
The juveniles were lodged in the Winnebago County Detention Center and the Winnebago State’s Attorney’s Office authorized the charges of Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Battery, and Resisting a Police Officer for each of them.
