Rockford Police announced the arrest of a domestic battery wanted suspect who was apprehended after a foot chase on Monday.
Police say that around 5:15 p.m., officers from the Rockford Police Housing Authority Unit were on patrol and spotted Anthony Fricks, 31, walking in the area of 15th Street and Keefe Street.
Fricks was wanted on a warrant for Failure to Appear and Domestic Battery.
When officers tried to detain Fricks, he allegedly fled on foot. Officers gave chase and were able to apprehend him in the 1500 block of Meadow Court.
Police say he was in possession of heroin, marijuana, cocaine and MDMA (Ecstasy).
He was charged with several drug related charges and taken to the Winnebago County Jail.
