Police say Rockford man sold heroin in Highcrest and Alpine area

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — 38-year-old Michael Greer was arrested Monday as the result of a narcotics investigation by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office.

Police say they were informed that narcotics sales were taking place in the area of Alpine Road and Highcrest Road. During the course of the investigation, police say that on Monday, around 10:30 a.m., they located Greer, in his car in a parking lot, with a large amount of heroin in his vehicle.

Greer was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin 15-100 grams and Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin 1-15 grams.

He was taken to the Winnebago County Jail.
