Police Seek Information Related to Series of Armed Robberies In Rockford

An armed robbery occurred in the area of 900 21st street at 5:19pm on January 18th.  A black or dark purple older model Chevy Town and Country van was traveling northbound and pulled up to a male victim who standing outside of his car. An occupant exited the van, pointing a gun at the victim and demanding personal items.

Descriptions are as follows:

Suspect #1: Black male, 5’11”, 160 lbs, long braids, wearing red Blackhawks scarf, black hoodie and jeans.

On Monday, January 18, 2016 at 5:45pm, Rockford Police responded to the area of Fairview Ave and Soper Ave in reference to an armed robbery to citizen. Officers say two male adult victims were walking west on Fairview when they were approached by three suspects in a green Dodge Caravan. The suspects exited the vehicle, pointed a handgun at the victims, and stole their money.

Descriptions of the suspects are as follows:

Suspect #1- Black male, 17-20 yrs, 5′-10”, skinny, green jacket ***Armed with handgun***

Suspect #2 Black male,  16-20 yrs, 5′-5”, skinny, dark skin

Suspect #3 Black male, further details are unknown

And around 6:50pm on January 18th, a Rockford man was walking home when he was approached by occupants from an older beige sedan. This all happened in the area of 12st and 12th avenue.  Passengers exited the vehicle, with one holding a shotgun and the other holding a handgun.  The suspects demanded personal property from the victim.

Suspect descriptions are as follows:

Suspect #1: Male, 5’6”, 20-25 years old, wearing a black mask

Suspect #2: Male, 5’6”, 20-25 years old, wearing a black mask and dark clothing

At 7pm on January 18th, a Rockford man was approached by a suspect wearing a black ski mask.  This all happened in the are of Broadway and 12th street. The suspect exited a vehicle, walked up to the victim and put a gun to his head demanding personal items. The suspect then struck the victim in the head with the gun.  The victim was treated with non life-threatening injuries and released from the hospital.
