The Janesville Police Department has released photos of three suspects they believe may have fraudulently used closed credit cards.  Security images of the men are included.

Credit card cloning, which is also known as ‘skimming,’ happens when information from the magnetic strip on the card is stolen and then copied onto a new counterfeit card.  Issues with theft from credit card cloning are a major reason why credit card companies and retailers are moving to ‘smart chip’ technology which cannot be cloned.

Anyone having information on the three suspect is urged to call the Janesville Police Department at 757-2244 or Janesville Area Crimestoppers at 756-3636
