Prairie Street Brewing Company will play host to a new post-Valentine’s Day tradition — “Galentine’s Day.”
The unique holiday was created by the TV show “Parks and Recreation” and is all about ladies celebrating ladies.
The night of fun will include food, wine tasting, raffles, and more.
Proceeds will benefit the Nikolas Ritstchel Foundation’s “Nik’s Wish” program, which grants wishes to young adults over 18, who are battling cancer.
Savannah Bay Strandin, a recent wish recipient, says it’s helping her keep hope alive.
“It’s really easy to be sad and ask, ‘Why me?’ Especially when you’re this young and living life. But, as long as you keep pushing forward and stay positive, there’s no telling how far you can go.”
The event runs Friday, February 15th from 7 p.m .to 11 p.m at Prairie Street Brewing Company, located at 200 Prairie Street.
