Premo and Fresh Grab sandwiches recalled due to possible listeria contamination

Lipari Foods has issued a recall of their Premo Brand and Fresh Grab turkey and Swiss grab and go sub sandwiches due to possible listeria contamination.

Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

The products were made on July 17 and distributed to food service and retail stores throughout Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

No illnesses have been reported to date. Lipari Foods began shipping the product on July 19.
