A Janesville resident is able to scare off a burglar inside his apartment overnight.
Police say they responded to the burglary in progress in the 1600 block of Morningside Dr. around 4 Saturday morning. The resident told police he grabbed his gun and shot at the suspect after being awoken during the attempted burglary. One shot was fired at the suspect as he fled, but he wasn’t hit.
Police are still looking for the burglar who they say got away empty handed.
