A Rock Valley College trustee resigns from the board, but will stay on it for another two years.
In December, board member Ashley Burks left. The board had 60 days to pick a replacement.
Their choice is current board member, Mike Dunn, Jr. He resigned from his current spot on the board to take Burks’ former seat. Due to timing, that seat won’t be on the ballot this April. So, instead of Dunn’s term being up in a few weeks as planned, he’ll stay until 2019.
According to the school, the move retains continuity and experience as RVC transitions with a new president, new administrators, and soon, three new board members.
