Rockford Art Museum hosts spring break art camp

The Rockford Art Museum holds a camp for young students to learn during spring break.

It’s the “Artonauts Spring Break Camp.” Activities will integrate science, technology, engineering, arts and math.

Students from first through sixth grade can participate.

One organizer is excited for people to experience what the community has to offer.

“I think it’s really important to see the impact the arts have on education in particular and just to be able to go out and to see the different museums in our community and see the programs that are offered it’s pretty amazing that we get to partner up with so many organizations,” Education Coordinator at the Rockford Art Museum Janelle O’ Malley said.

The event will also take place Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.
