The Rockford Board of Fire and Police Commissioners will meet on Monday to review police chief applications and select applicant finalists.
Of the initial 59 applicants, the Board has narrowed that list down to 26. Board Secretary Ian Linnabury said earlier this week that they’d like that list do be down to four by early next week.
Their goal is to have a new Chief of Police in place by the end of the month.
Monday’s meeting will be held at the Rockford Fire Department headquarters at 204 S. First Street from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eyewitness News will have full coverage on Monday.
