Dozens of Stateline residents got free dental work done Friday.
The line went out the door at Above and Beyond Dentistry. It’s part of a nationwide effort called, “Dentistry from the Heart.” 25 volunteers provided free fillings, extractions, and cleanings for those who showed up. Organizers say they’re simply doing what’s necessary to make life easier for people who may be struggling.
“There are so many good people in this community,” said Office Manager Kit Cline. “These are… people who lost their jobs or simply can’t afford to take care of themselves. They take care of their kids. They take care of everybody else. They’re all good people who just are down on their luck.”
Other Stateline dental clinics have held similar events in the past. This is the first year its been held at Above and Beyond.
