The online self-proclaimed “job expert” website Zippia has compiled a list of the laziest U.S. cities, and Rockford falls within the top ten.
Some of the criteria used includes population, college education rate, employment rate and average hours worked per week.
Rockford came in at #9 on the list. Here’s what Zippia had to say about the Forest City:
Here’s the thing: Rockford residents aren’t lazy. Well, for the most part. I mean, the hours worked per week (37.4) isn’t that low; the commute (20 minutes) isn’t too much of a breeze; and the college graduation rate … Well, at least some of these guys went to college.
The top three laziest listed, in order: #1 Dayton, Ohio; #2 Toledo, Ohio; #3 Springfield, Massachusetts
