Rockford Fire puts out vacant house fire

The Rockford Fire Department responded to a vacant house fire Sunday morning.

It happened at 920 Kent Street at 7:40 a.m. 

Fire crews found heavy smoke coming from the front of the building and contained the fire in 30 minutes.

Multiple fire investigators, including an accellerant detecting K9, responded to the fire. 

No one was inside the building.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
