Rockford Fire responds to residential structure fire

Rockford Fire responded to a residential structure fire Saturday night.

Firefighters arrived on scene at 3008 Cannon Street around 11 p.m. and reported smoke showing. An interior attack was performed and the fire was brought under control in approximately 15 minutes.

Damage is estimated at $55,000.

No civilians or firefighters were injured. 

The American Red Cross is providing temporary housing for six people.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
