Rockford Home Busted for Drugs, 2-Year-Old Boy Inside

A Rockford man is arrested after police raid his home finding cocaine, marijuana and an assault rifle.

Alberto Lara, 25, of Rockford, is charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of cannabis and for not having a FOID card.

During as search of Lara’s residence at 1002 Willard Avenue, detectives located and recovered several bags of cocaine, a small amount of cannabis, cash and other items associated with dealing drugs. Detectives also found a loaded assault rifle.

A woman and two-year-old child were also in the home at the time.

Lara was placed under arrest and transferred to the Winnebago County Jail.
