Rockford Interim Police Chief Pat Hoey is a finalist for Beloit’s Chief of Police position.

Hoey is one of three finalists for the job. The other two candidates are Kent Crutcher, Chief of Police in Branson, Missouri, and current Beloit Interim Chief David Zibolski.

Each finalist will participate in a second round of interviews with the Beloit Police and Fire Commission on Wednesday. That will be followed by a community forum at the Beloit Public Library. The forum will begin at 6 p.m.

Hoey was exempted from Rockford’s Chief of Police search after accepting the Interim Chief position.
