Rockford man arrested again, faces additional accusations of rape


40-year-old Douglas Valentine, of Rockford, was arrested Friday for the second time since October, this time for allegedly sexually assaulting an underage teen girl.

Boone County Sheriff’s Department notified the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department on October 12th that they had arrested Valentine on October 11th. At the time, Valentine was charged with three counts of criminal sexual assault, one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and one count of criminal sexual abuse, of a minor under the age of 17.

When he was arrested at his home in the 1200 block of Blue Ridge Avenue in Rockford, police also took electronic equipment and computers from the house as well.

He was since released on bond.

Winnebago County Sheriff’s Detectives investigated further and allege that Valentine also had sexual contact with a juvenile female between the ages of 13-18 at his home between June 1st to September 1st, 2018.

Valentine was arrested Friday on the charges of Criminal Sexual Assault and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault of a female victim between 13-18 years old.
