Rockford man arrested for firing at a car


ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rockford man wanted on weapons charges is now in custody.

On Wednesday, May 17, officers say someone in a vehicle fired shots at another vehicle as both cars were speeding down 10th Street. No one was hurt.

The Violent Crime Unit identified the shooter as 22-year-old Shyron Henderson.

The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s office authorized charges for Henderson and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Wednesday, July 10, officers received a tip from the public that Henderson was inside a home in the 1400 block of 12st Street.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Henderson was booked into the Winnebago County Jail on $250,000 bond.
