A Rockford man was arrested Tuesday evening after police spotted a stolen vehicle in a fast food drive-thru.

Officers noticed the vehicle that had been reported stolen last week from the 1800 block of 12th Avenue in the drive-thru lane at the Taco Bell on 11th Street. When they approached the vehicle, the driver drove up over a curb and fled out of the parking lot.

Authorities checked the surrounding area, eventually locating the car parked in an alley in the 1000 block of 24th Street. They then saw the driver, and his female passenger, walking in the area of 9th and 24th. The driver was taken into custody.

He was identified as Quinton Kimbrough, 33, of Rockford. He’s charged with aggravated possession of a stolen auto, fleeing to elude and driving while license revoked. Officers also learned that Kimbrough was on federal probation and was wanted by the U.S. Marshals service.

He is being held at the Winnebago County Jail.
