A Rockford man is dead after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a tree.
Around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, William Wise Jr., 51, was traveling northbound on Illinois Route 2 when he drove off of the roadway into a ditch before crashing into a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
