Rockford Man Now Charged in Wife’s Murder

A Rockford man now faces charges in the stabbing death of his wife.

Authorities announced Tuesday evening that Noe Marquez, 50, faces two counts of first degree murder and two counts of agg. dometic battery in connection to Elizabeth Marquez’s death.

Elizabeth Marquez was stabbed several times at a home in the 2700 block of Norway Pine Road on July 6th.  Officers arrived to find the suspect and their two underage children inside.  The kids were not hurt.

Marquez is also facing domestic battery charges for a similar incident that allegedly happened June 28th.  He was also charged with attempted murder in that case.  Marquez is currently being held in the Winnebago County Jail.  His bond has been set at $10 million.
