31-year-old Gerald Osborn pleaded guilty to armed robbery of a Family Dollar store and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Rockford Police say they responded to the Family Dollar at 501 North Springfield Avenue on July 4th, 2018 for the report of an armed robbery with a knife.

Witnesses said a suspect walked into the store armed with a knife, and demanded money.

The suspect fled the scene while officers were in route, but they were able to track his vehicle to the 200 block of Cameron Avenue.

Osborn was identified by a witness.

He pleaded guilty to the charge of Armed Robbery on March 22nd.
