Rockford man wanted for allegedly beating his girlfriend

A Rockford man is wanted by police for allegedly beating his girlfriend.

Shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday, Rockford Police Officers were called to a house in the 1200 block of North Rockton Avenue for a domestic battery call. They say a woman told them the suspect, Kevon Dukes, 24, her boyfriend, had beaten her. 

Dukes fled the scene before officers arrived.

Detectives from the Domestic Violence Unit conducted a follow up investigation and charged Dukes with Domestic Battery and Harassment through Electronic Communication.

Dukes is still at large. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police at 779-500-6551 or CrimeStoppers at 815-963-7867.
