Rockford Photography Studios Open New Location After Hanley Fire

It’s been eight months since a fire destroyed the Hanley building in downtown Rockford. The blaze destroyed several businesses surrounding the landmark, including two photography studios. However, the owners are celebrating a new birth.

Photographers Chris Tyson and Elizabeth Steed lost their locations during the fire. Saturday they celebrated their new joint location on East State. They had on open house to show the public they are back in business.

Both say they are excited to be back to work but add the open house was also a chance to thank
those who supported them during the difficult transition. “Just to open our doors and to invite them into our new space and just kind of like a thank you of supporting and loving on us in times where we really, really needed it,” said ellAdele Photography owner Elizabeth Steed.

If you are interested in visiting ellAdele and C. Tyson Photography, their new location is on 211 East Street in Suite A.
