42-year-old Donavan Ingram was arrested by Rockford Police as a suspect in the attempted robbery of a Subway restaurant last week.

Rockford Police say Ingram held up the Subway at 3313 11th Street on Tuesday, March 5th.

Police say they were called out shortly before 7 p.m. Employees told them a white male suspect, about 50 years old, 5’6″, 250 pounds, wearing a light colored coat and a black stocking hat, placed an order and then implied he had a weapon and said he was robbing the store.

The employee ran away and the suspect fled without taking anything.

Ingram was charged with Aggravated Robbery and taken to the Winnebago County Jail.
