ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Just before 3:00 a.m. Thursday morning, Rockford Police tweeted they are investigating a man’s death in the 1800 block of Green Street.
Police have asked the public to avoid the area until further notice, reiterating there is no threat to the public.
Police later revealed the dead man was a suspect in a home invasion, and was stabbed in the neck by the victim.
