Rockford Public Library will vote on multi-million dollar downtown project

News

The Rockford Public Library Board of Trustees is expected to vote on a multi-million dollar downtown development project Monday.

The $22 million project is planned for the space next to the library, who owns the space.

The plan is to build a mixed-use development right on the river. The downtown building could soon be home to luxury apartments, restaurants and retail space.

The vote is scheduled to come up in Monday’s Library Board of Trustees meeting.
