A Rockford woman is facing charges after allegedly leading Freeport Police on a drunken pursuit with her child in the car.
Police say Jade Port, 22, fled when officers tried to pull her over for driving 20 miles over the speed limit in a neighborhood. Police stopped chasing, but eventually arrested Port after she parked her car.
Port faces several charges including aggravated fleeing to elude, child endangerment, and DUI. This is not her first run-in with the law. In Rockford, Port is facing domestic battery charges and was previously convicted on a drug charge.
